Conservatives Abroad and Conservative Party Members and Patrons worldwide are invited to join a Microsoft Teams call arranged by Conservatives Abroad's Western Australia Group with guest of honour the Rt Hon George Eustice MP on Thursday, 23 March at 1000 GMT.
The Rt Hon George Eustice MP has been the Member of Parliament for the Cornish seat of Camborne and Redruth since the 2010 General Election. Prior to entering Parliament, he worked on his family farm in Cornwall and became Head of Press for Conservative Party leader Michael Howard, going on to serve as David Cameron's Press Secretary during his tenure as Leader of the Opposition.
In Parliament George Eustice, with his farming background, has enjoyed an involvement with the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs spanning 9 years and 3 Prime Ministers serving from 2013 to 2020 as Minister of State for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and as Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs from 2020 to 2022.
This a unique opportunity for members to engage on all current political topics with a highly experienced former Secretary of State with a deep knowledge and experience of his field who has been at the centre of overseeing the transition of UK food production from the perview of the Common Agricultural and Common Fisheries Policies to new sovereign frameworks attempting to balance environmental issues with food security.
This event is only open to members and patrons of Conservatives Abroad, the Conservative Party or its constituent associations.
