The Prime Minister today launched Conservatives Abroad’s “Think Of Three” campaign which urges people to think of three family or friends they know who live abroad and encourage them to register to vote in 2015.
The email and Facebook campaign points British expats to the new online registration facility which allows registration in just 5 minutes.
Those who register are then asked to “think of three” others they can send the email to so that even more people get the message.
The Prime Minsiter's email is shown in full below. Can you think of three people who live abroad and send it to them?
Hello - who do you know who lives abroad?
The next election is the most important in a generation - and it's vital that everyone who can vote gets behind our plan to secure a better future for Britain.
Of the 5 million British people living abroad, virtually none are registered to vote - despite the fact it's now really simple to do online. In fact, it only takes 5 minutes to sign up for a postal vote.
So today I'm asking you to think of three people you know who live abroad and encourage them to vote by forwarding them this email - or sending them this link:
In an election with so much at stake, overseas voters could be the difference between a Conservative Government committed to reducing the deficit, cutting taxes and building a stronger, healthier economy - or a return to higher taxes, higher borrowing, and less control over welfare with Labour.
Please share this link - www.overseasvote2015.com - with three (or more) people you know living abroad.
And together, we can secure a better future for Britain.
Thank you,
David Cameron
PS This is the perfect excuse to drop your friends living abroad a line. Please forward them this email today.
