After a long break from in-person meetings with politicians due to Covid restrictions, Conservatives Abroad in Singapore were finally able to get together over the weekend and dine with Mark Garnier MP, during his visit to the city-state.
Apart from being the MP for Wyre Forest in Worcestershire, Mark is also the PM's Trade Envoy for Brunei, Burma (Myanmar), and Thailand, so trade was a major topic of discussion at the meeting given the UK's imminent accession to the CPTPP free trade agreement of which Singapore is a part.
