Members of the Conservatives Abroad team were honoured to visit Downing Street last week to mark the achievement of Votes for Life with the Prime Minister. The passing of the Elections Act 2022 will allow an estimated additional 2.3m British citizens around the world to participate in future General Elections, and the Prime Minister was keen to point out that ‘the Conservative Government is delivering on our manifesto promises, ensuring all UK citizens can have their say in our Parliamentary democracy.'
Heather Harper MBE, Chairman of Conservatives Abroad thanked the Prime Minister 'for finally delivering on this three times manifesto commitment on behalf of all Britons working and living beyond our shores, all, vital ambassadors for Global Britain.'
