Heather Harper has today sent this email with details of the Conservatives Abroad Conference to all our members -
Dear Conservative Abroad,
We now have the final programme agreed for our Annual Conference at Conservative Party HQ on October 2nd and it’s packed with sessions to ensure that we can play an effective role in electing a majority Conservative Government in 2015.
Our keynote speakers are Party Co-Chairman, Lord Feldman, Party Vice-Chairman and Chairman of the International Office, Geoffrey Clifton-Brown MP; Constitution Minister, Rt Hon Greg Clark MP and the Leader of the Conservative Members of the European Parliament, Rt Hon Syed Kamell MEP.
We will also be launching our new campaign designed to engage with British expats so that we persuade far more to vote in 2015 than did so in 2010, when less than 1% registered.
We will be giving you news of our new group of Conservative backbench MPs who will be supporting and fronting our campaign.
But most importantly, we want to hear from you about your thoughts and ideas for engaging expats to vote. So we have left plenty of time in the programme for you to have your say.
You can see the full conference programme here http://tinyurl.com/qb5kx2a
The conference will be followed by our Annual Reception and Dinner held at The Carlton Club where our special guest speaker will be Rt Hon Alistair Burt MP.
2015 will be a landmark election for expats. The Conservative Party has just pledged to abolish the 15-year rule for expat voters so we need to work hard to make sure we get a majority Conservative government to deliver this.
You can book tickets for the conference and the dinner on the Eventbrite website or send a cheque by post.
