About Conservatives Abroad

Conservatives Abroad aims to provide support and overseas membership of the Conservative Party. It endeavours to identify and register those British citizens living overseas who qualify under the 15 year rule as voters to support the Conservative Party in relevant elections.

Conservatives Abroad was originally established more than 20 years ago, although some branches have been in existence since the late 1970's. There are approximately 35 branches around the world, and as more Britons choose to live and work all over the world, this number will continue to increase.

Being a member of Conservatives Abroad provides a forum for like-minded people to socialise and gives a platform for political discussion on matters of mutual interest. It also provides feedback to Conservatives Abroad in London.

Branches of Conservatives Abroad act as a distribution centre to its members for information originating from the Conservative Party in London. The website hopes to become an interactive community of like-minded individuals, interacting on a daily basis on all matters, not just political.

The main aim of Conservatives Abroad is to encourage voter registration amongst the British expatriate community, but it also aims to liaise with local organisations and like minded political parties where appropriate.
